Lonsdale Services - 20 years in business

Lonsdale Mortgages is part of Lonsdale Services which was established in St Albans in September 2003 by Simon Hawker, Gordon Douglas, and Bernard Fearn, to offer financial and mortgage advice to benefit consultant customers. Shortly afterwards, Veronica Eastwood joined the team as an administrator. 

Lonsdale Services is now a Top 100 UK Financial Adviser featured in the FT Adviser Top 100 list for 2022. Over the twenty years the company has grown steadily through a strong belief in teamwork and focused individual customer advice. Lonsdale Services now has over thirty-five colleagues, operating from ten offices: St Albans, Ware, Barnet, Harpenden, Ringwood, Chippenham, Lichfield, Stafford, Leeds/Bradford, and Wimbledon. 

Lonsdale Mortgages has mortgage brokers working in St Albans and Lichfield offering mortgage advice to local customers.  

Simon Hawker, Managing Director of Lonsdale Services, St Albans said: 

‘In June current and ex-Lonsdale colleagues gathered in London for a lunch to celebrate our 20-year anniversary. Lonsdale Services has experienced many changes over the last twenty years, but we have a great team who rise to any challenges. Many colleagues across our financial planning teams have worked closely together for many years, and it is satisfying that most Lonsdale colleagues have in the main retired rather than left the company. We have recently been joined by the next generation of financial advisers who are trained up to continue to provide independent financial advice to our customers, with the aim of giving good outcomes to all. Our aim has always been to deliver a financial planning solution that is totally in tune with a customer’s investment objectives. Our ability to work in close collaboration with customers has resulted in us having long standing relationships with most companies and individuals we work with, and we thank our customers for choosing Lonsdale Services.’
