Lonsdale Services – Top 100 Financial Adviser for 2023

Monday 4 December, 2023

For the second year running Lonsdale Services is featured in the FT Adviser Top 100.  Lonsdale Mortgages is part of Lonsdale Services.

The list of the Top 100 financial advisers is compiled using Financial Clarity data by ISS Market Intelligence.

How the FT Adviser Top 100 is compiled

Compiling the list involves reviewing a variety of criteria, including gross inflows during the year, the experience of the company’s financial advisers, their qualifications, and client retention figures.

Richard Porter, Senior Manager & Consumer Duty Champion at Lonsdale Services said:

‘We are delighted to feature again in the FT Adviser Top 100.  From our nine offices our independent financial advisers provide cost effective financial planning advice to a range of customers across the UK, and we have mortgage brokers in St Albans and Lichfield. Most of our financial advisers are very experienced having worked in financial services for over twenty years, and we’re pleased that the FT Adviser takes this factor into account when they finalise their list.  Lonsdale Services recently celebrated a twenty-year anniversary, and it’s great that many colleagues within our financial planning teams have worked very closely together for many years.  However, it is important that we look ahead and plan for the future, and we have recently been joined by the next generation of financial advisers, who work alongside our established teams to offer financial planning advice that meets our customer’s investment objective.’

The Consumer Duty has changed the financial advice industry in 2023

The FT Adviser said: ‘The advice profession has been through its own changes, not least the significant efforts of every financial service professional to ensure their company met or surpasses the regulatory expectations laid out under the new consumer duty.’

Richard Porter, Senior Manager & Consumer Duty Champion at Lonsdale Services continued:

‘2023 has been a challenging year for the financial advice industry with the introduction of the Consumer Duty.  However, our financial advisers  and mortgage brokers have been able to adapt to the new regulations as we always put our customers’ needs first and we use our values of integrity, reliability, and value whenever we offer financial advice and mortgage and protection advice.  Our customer’s long-term financial goals and objectives are at the heart of all our decision making, enabling our independent financial advisers to provide customised financial planning appropriate for a customer’s own circumstances and appetite for risk.   We are proud of our excellent customer retention rates, our 5* google rating for Lonsdale Mortgages, and the long-standing relationships we have established with many individuals and companies since 2003.’
