On March 11th, 2021 at an online ceremony for the national Professional Adviser Awards, Lonsdale Services won the Best Advisor firm for Vulnerable Client Care. Adviser firms were asked to enter, ‘who have gone above and beyond to make sure their more vulnerable clients have felt reassured and financially safe.’
The Lonsdale Mortgages broking team based in St Albans works closely with the independent financial advisers at Lonsdale Services, as Lonsdale Mortgages is a division of Lonsdale Services.
Lonsdale Mortgage brokers offer mortgage advice to vulnerable clients
‘We are really pleased to win this award as it shows how much work our Lonsdale Services team has done to prioritise vulnerable clients. We recognise that there are a variety of people living in vulnerable circumstances, not just older people. Some first-time buyers could be seen as part of this group, as they need mortgage advice to make an informed mortgage choice. For example, some first-time buyers may not have much mortgage knowledge or know much about the housing market so we can assist them with their house purchase and offer them the most appropriate mortgage advice and protection advice for their financial circumstances. We always recommend that before you start looking at houses you call us on 01727 845500 so you know exactly how much you can borrow, and you look for property in your price range. We also help clients understand the interest rate options available and the cost of mortgage repayments. Our Lonsdale Mortgage brokers differentiate themselves as our key goal is to educate our clients before offering mortgage advice. When we work with clients, we apply our core principles of reliability, integrity and value, and these principles form part of our Lonsdale Mortgages Client Charter. All Lonsdale Services colleagues are encouraged to work together to improve our vulnerable client process and at Lonsdale Mortgages we operate a team-based culture. As a member of our Vulnerable Client Group, I work with other Lonsdale Services colleagues to agree our vulnerable client strategy. Our vulnerable client policy underpins our strategy, and this is available to view on our Lonsdale Mortgages website.’
Lonsdale Mortgages offer ‘no-fee’ mortgage advice
Please note Lonsdale Mortgages is a ‘no-fee’ mortgage broker and will not charge you any fees for our mortgage services, except in instances where we arrange a mortgage for you where we are not paid commission by the lender, such as further borrowing. Otherwise, we are paid commission by your provider when your mortgage completes. Call our mortgage brokers now on 01727 845500 if you want to save time and money on your house purchase.

We launched a ten-point plan to help anyone living with dementia and we fundraised for the charity, raising £5,000.
